Since the joining of an organization, the Government Ayurvedic Medical Officers' Association of Sri Lanka was reshuffled, where Dr. Prasad Hendawitharana was unanimously elected as the Chairman, Shantha Lokuge was appointed as the General Secretary and Gunamuthu Mallimarachchi was appointed as the General Secretary.
Dr. Kusumsiri Marasinghe alias Ranjith Kusumsiri comrade was nominated to fill the vacant Vice Presidential Administrative posts, Dr. Mahinda Ranatunga was appointed as the Central Arachchi Secretary and Chinthaka Nadugala as the Southern Provincial Secretary.Dr. Dilip Ginigat was also appointed as the Western Provincial Secretary.
Although there have been some changes in the officers with the approval of the General Assembly on several occasions since then, at present the organization is very extensive, sharing more threat and responsibilities.
Dr.Vimukthi de Zoysa, who was the founding media secretary of the association and Dr.P D Lambius was the founding deputy secretary of the association, should be mentioned here.
Also, senior doctors, such as Dr. Jagath de Silva, Dr. Tharindu Yalegama, Dr. Eranga de Silva, and Manjula Manathunga who were involved in the founding of the association should also be mentioned here.
He was the Chief Medical Officer of the Diyagoda Ayurveda Hospital at that time and joined the present Chairman Prasad Hendawitharana as the first member of the association.
The systematically formed organization extended the Sri Lanka Government Ayurvedic Medical Officers' Association by an open invitation to the other 5 professional societies in the field by the time they were about 2 months old, where the Provincial Indigenous Medical Association, the All Ceylon Government Indigenous Medical Association, the Sri Lanka Ayurvedic Medical Association and the Public Service Ayurveda The Medical Association, the United Indigenous Medical Association and a large number of Uriyakari student leaders came together.
Then there was a change in the founding officers about three months after the association was started.
At the same time, we have made our mark as the only organization that has been present at the doctors' allowance since the beginning of the rally and we are still ready to fight at any level to get the privileges we deserve and deserve.
Under the leadership of our organization, we have been able to achieve a number of positive achievements in terms of the import licenses that the medical officers of the Ayurvedic Medical College do not have, as well as the privileges that we are entitled to in the public service.
Although it has been 03 years since the inception of the organization, the organization is still active today with a whopping 40 years of experience in student active life with only 25 years of experience in the trade union field.
The Sri Lanka Government of Ayurvedic Medical Officers' Association (SLGMOA) of has been able to become the leading trade union in the field of Ayurvedic medicine today as a true trade union, defeating its professional dignity in the face of privileges and privileges, overcoming opportunistic narrow-mindedness.
The Sri Lanka Government of Ayurvedic Medical Officers' Association (SLGMOA) is the only trade union with a very transparent, genuine and young generation.
